Upgrading castings with blasting technology
The processing of the surfaces of castings has a decisive influence on their appearance, functionality and durability. The blasting process removes moulding sand and eliminates burrs. Therefore, care and the right blasting concept is a good prerequisite for high-quality products.
AGTOS has already convinced many customers from the foundry industry. The company will present itself at the GIFA trade fair in Düsseldorf from 12 – 16 June 2023 in Hall 16, stand no. 16E10.
Visitors to the trade fair will learn what is important when fettling castings and which differences and details make for a really good surface. There will be practical examples of solutions. In addition to the blasting aspects of the machines, the trade fair team will address the topics of sustainability, energy efficiency and economy. Smart Monitoring, the compact AGTOS system for determining and displaying process data, will be presented. This gives the user an overview of the essential data of the blasting process.
Since service is an important factor for blasting machines, this area is another highlight of the AGTOS stand. Everything about the stocking and delivery as well as the installation of spare and wear parts will be shown in a special area. In addition, there will be information on maintenance, repair and modernisation work. The service specialists will be at the stand and are also looking forward to interesting questions and tasks on the subjects of plant modernisation (retro-fit) and performance enhancement (efficiency).
About AGTOS
AGTOS has been on the market for over twenty years. Approximately 160 employees work at the two locations. In Emsdetten, the company's headquarters, the conceptual design as well as the construction of the shot blast plants is carried out. Production is located in the Polish town of Konin, near Poznań.
The constant focus on the requirements of the customers has resulted in the company being regarded as a specialist in the design and manufacture of shot-blast machines, especially for foundries. Therefore, customers on all five continents work with blast machines from AGTOS.
In addition to new shot blast machines, AGTOS also offers used shot blast machines. This is advantageous for companies that need a blast machine at very short notice or use it only temporarily.
The abrasive used in the wheel blast machines does not only act on the workpiece surfaces. The abrasive effect is also noticeable inside the blast machines. Therefore, service, i.e. the stocking and delivery as well as the installation of spare and wear parts, plays a major role. In addition, maintenance, repair and modernisation work is also carried out on machines from other manufacturers. These are always carried out by experienced personnel.
