AGTOS - Further growth with a strong partner February 2025
AGTOS, founded in 2001 in Emsdetten, specialises in the design and manufacture of wheel blasting machines. The company has a combined total of more than 160 employees at its plant in Konin, Poland and its headquarters in Emsdetten, Germany. Customers include companies of all sizes, particularly in the automotive and automotive supply industry, foundries, forges, steel distributors, the fastener industry and mechanical engineering.
After the strong growth since 2001, the previous shareholders have decided to sell their shares to SINTOKOGIO LTD. based in Nagoya, Japan, for the further long-term development of AGTOS.
The purchase was carried out by the WINOA SA group of companies, which is also part of SINTOKOGIO and has its headquarters in France. WINOA is a leading global manufacturer of high-quality blasting abrasives. The company's range includes innovative and environmentally friendly products, solutions and services for surface preparation.
‘AGTOS Gesellschaft für technische Oberflächensysteme mbH’ was recently renamed to ‘Sinto AGTOS GmbH’ to emphasise the company's new affiliation with the SINTOKOGIO Group.
SINTOKOGIO LTD. is a leading global manufacturer of foundry equipment with over 70 subsidiaries worldwide. The company supplies customers from various industrial sectors with solutions for surface treatment, environmental protection, material handling, mechatronics and consumables, among other things.
With this acquisition, the Japanese group aims to further strengthen its surface treatment business in Europe. It values the good market position and high reputation of AGTOS and intends to actively expand the business.
The starting point for the future strategy for AGTOS is to continue and expand its activities with the existing management and employees at both locations.
This offers exciting development potential for employees and the workforce is expected to continue to grow. For customers, the portfolio and service activities will be further expanded in the strong network of the SINTOKOGIO Group.
